As Part of Broadcast Urself - This is an important announcement this is because I am having to step in and say that:
ALL Remote connections are henceforth cut off, we're not doing remote support at all! I'm rather disappointed i'm having to write this but this isn't for OUR Safety but rather YOURS!
Our technicians are here to help make sure your radio stream is running close to 100% capability as possible! We do NOT encourage users to remote, and nor should we have access to your private systems!
I've been against remote support for years, this is because we design the structure the way it is to make it easy and more accessible for everyone to use our systems! I don't even support remote support for port forwarding (never have to be honest).
I've come across instances where people have accused myself and others of things they have never done such as:
-> Installing Teamviewer (This software is commonly used to connect to others - usually i say RUN ONLY - but now i say don't even use this software)
-> Opening/installing Bittorrent/Utorrent or any other software NOT SPECIFICALLY asked by the end user.
-> Creating Backdoors in software that shouldn't exist in normal use and in normal situations will NEVER happen
-> Activating FTP access on a computer - dangerously harmful in the wrong hands!
-> Activating IIS access on a computer - not too bad but website development should be kept to website makers only.
We shouldn't have to keep remoting users for fixing sound issues, or any other problems that can be simply google'd
